10th Day, 11 May 2017 in Espoo

This is the day before last! Today the prototypes of the teams were tested by students from another daytime implementation. The testing was efficient and thorough, and our teams received lots of feedback that was useful for them.

The task in Seppo was to upload the teams' team spirit in any format! Since now the work has been more hectic than ever because the deadline for all the final products is tomorrow, this task was to inspire the students. Here are the spirits:)

8th Day, 9 May 2017 in Espoo

Tuesday was an exciting day! First, the students got to learn about Future Studies. Pasi Hario organized a great workshop where students were immersed into thinking about the future, and ideating their own projects with a touch of future thinking!

In the afternoon, students had the opportunity to be testers for a group of students who have been working with the same project task. This group of students have been working during the spring on their projects, but not in the same manner  as the intensive studies students who work every day with their own projects.
Here are some photos of the testing session:

Here are some excerpts from the students' entries in Seppo for the day's task. The task was to write an entry on their experiences as testers:

"This intercultural approach was very successful for everybody, because the Finnish students have never been to Kiel before and we could give them some information about this city. We really liked to listen to new ideas. Everybody was participating and talking in English. It was easy to understand their ideas and the atmosphere was good. It was satisfying to help other students and support their project. Thanks for this experience!"

The Champions had decided to write their experiences in a grid or table format, where they assessed the pros and cons of each service they tested. In addition, they concluded whether the testers would buy the service or not, one example of which is:

"Well prepared and thought it through and well designed.
3 would not buy this service and 1 would"

Some other comments from the student teams:

"The testing process gives the opportunity to receive other points of view and also constructive feedback.  Therefore it`s always absolutely necessary to plan the developing process and to have a testing phase."

"It was interesting to see how different their ideas were comparing to ours. Some of the service ideas also gave us a new point of view for our own service."

"After all, we think that this experience was quite useful for our upcoming presentation. We found a few things what to benefit in our work later."
